I have received several messages from visitors offering a swap follow. What I mean is they will offer to follow me "if" I follow them. I personaly think that is high schoolish. That lets me know that you are not into blogging for the love of it; you simply want to be popular.

Notre Dame's First African American Valedictorian

(WBBM) -- History is being made at the University of Notre Dame this spring.In the 161 years the University of Notre Dame has been awarding degrees, never had there been an African-American as valedictorian.  Until this year.She's Katie Washington of Gary, Indiana.  She carries a 4.0 GPA majoring in biology and minoring in Catholic social teaching.According to the Northwest Indiana Times, Washington plans to continue her studies at Johns Hopkins University and follow in her father's footsteps into medicine.Washington says she's humbled by the honor of being named valedictorian.  More information from Notre Dame University:Katie Washington, a biological sciences major from Gary, Ind., has been named valedictorian of the 2010 University of Notre Dame graduating class and will present the valedictory address during Commencement exercises May 16 (Sunday) in Notre Dame stadium.Washington, who earned a 4.0 grade point average, has a minor in Catholic Social Teaching. She has conducted research on lung cancer at the Cold Spring Harbor labs and performed genetic studies in the University's Eck Institute for Global Health on the mosquito that carries dengue and yellow fever. She is the co-author of a research paper with David Severson, professor of biological sciences.Washington directs the Voices of Faith Gospel Choir at Notre Dame, is a mentor/tutor for the Sister-to-Sister program at South Bend's Washington High School and serves as the student coordinator of the Center for Social Concerns' "Lives in the Balance: Youth Violence and Society Seminar."Upon graduation, Washington plans to pursue a joint M.D./Ph.D program at Johns Hopkins University.

The 5 Best Facial Cleansers

Hi little pretties!

I can attest to all of these except for St. Ives. I've used Clinique, Cetaphil, Biore' and Purity. Right now I am back in forth between Purity and Clinique. When I need a good exfoliator I turn to Biore' and I use Cetaphil for a deeper clean.

They do not dry out your skin. Purit leaves a nice smooth feeling afterwards.

A Purple and Grey Look

Bonjour pretties!

I love love the look of purple eyeshadow especially if it accents an oufit.

Here I did a soft purple look. I am not sure if you can tell but I used two shades of purple and a slight gray in the inner corner of my eye. I then completed the look with a purple liner called Ectasy by Urban Decay.

I continued the look on my lower lash line and slightly lined my water line with Fascinating by MAC.

An Everyday Natural Look

Hola chicas!

This look I created is what I call an everday look. I mostly go to this look when I want to look flawless and look like I am not wearing any make-up. Also, I am not going to lie, but I'd throw this look together when I am in a hurry.

For those of you who normally do not wear make-up can opt for this look when you want to change things up. If you want to add a little definition to your look this is a good go to look without the flamboyant colors.

A Spring Green Look

My first look is a Spring green look that was completed with different shades of green. I love MAC, but did not use any MAC colors.

I wouldn't recommend wearing this to work (depends on where you work) if you do then you'll definately need to tone down the colors.

Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon

The third annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood brought out the divas, the princesses and the women to be reckoned with.

I am loving Jada's hair. I love how she always switch it up. Zoe is always looking elegant. The all white suit is stunning on Queen Latifah and Gabby looks nice in green. I would love to see her in white or a light blue. I think the dark colors are drowning her because she is dark complected.

Wrapping Up the "What to Wear to Work" Series Week

I hope you were able to retrieve some great ideas and explored your inner creative chic to incorporate your own style.

You are in charge of what you wear, how you want to look and feel and what you like. Yes, there will be days when you feel like a bloated pig or like you've been raned over by a dump truck! But put some effort in your appearance girl! First impressions only happens once.

Whenever I am not feeling my prettiest, I'd play in my eyeshadows and that usually get me in the mood to want to get dressed up.
