The 5 Best Facial Cleansers

Hi little pretties!

I can attest to all of these except for St. Ives. I've used Clinique, Cetaphil, Biore' and Purity. Right now I am back in forth between Purity and Clinique. When I need a good exfoliator I turn to Biore' and I use Cetaphil for a deeper clean.

They do not dry out your skin. Purit leaves a nice smooth feeling afterwards.

A Purple and Grey Look

Bonjour pretties!

I love love the look of purple eyeshadow especially if it accents an oufit.

Here I did a soft purple look. I am not sure if you can tell but I used two shades of purple and a slight gray in the inner corner of my eye. I then completed the look with a purple liner called Ectasy by Urban Decay.

I continued the look on my lower lash line and slightly lined my water line with Fascinating by MAC.

An Everyday Natural Look

Hola chicas!

This look I created is what I call an everday look. I mostly go to this look when I want to look flawless and look like I am not wearing any make-up. Also, I am not going to lie, but I'd throw this look together when I am in a hurry.

For those of you who normally do not wear make-up can opt for this look when you want to change things up. If you want to add a little definition to your look this is a good go to look without the flamboyant colors.

A Spring Green Look

This week is all about make-up! If you are a make-up junkie like me, stay tuned all this week.

My first look is a Spring green look that was completed with different shades of green. I love MAC, but did not use any MAC colors.

I wouldn't recommend wearing this to work (depends on where you work) if you do then you'll definately need to tone down the colors.

Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon

The third annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood brought out the divas, the princesses and the women to be reckoned with.

I am loving Jada's hair. I love how she always switch it up. Zoe is always looking elegant. The all white suit is stunning on Queen Latifah and Gabby looks nice in green. I would love to see her in white or a light blue. I think the dark colors are drowning her because she is dark complected.

Wrapping Up the "What to Wear to Work" Series Week

I hope you were able to retrieve some great ideas and explored your inner creative chic to incorporate your own style.

You are in charge of what you wear, how you want to look and feel and what you like. Yes, there will be days when you feel like a bloated pig or like you've been raned over by a dump truck! But put some effort in your appearance girl! First impressions only happens once.

Whenever I am not feeling my prettiest, I'd play in my eyeshadows and that usually get me in the mood to want to get dressed up.

Thandie Newton normally looks elegant in her chosen attire, but something went wrong tonight. Seen at a private party in London, Thandie elected to wear a dreadful drapery/comforter looking dress.

We've all had our fashion oops, but I am not a celebrity therefore I have more leisure to bounce back. Maybe Thandie can blame this fashion moshap on the alcohol.

A Sweet Collaboration: Maxwell and Jill Scott Spring Tour

R&B singers Maxwell and Jill Scott will join forces this spring for a tour that will work its way through arenas in 20 US cities.

Though organizers have not yet revealed a tour schedule, the outing is set to launch May 21 in Cleveland, with additional dates to be announced through June, according to a press release.

Among the cities that will grace the final itinerary--which will be unveiled "shortly," according to organizers--are Detroit, Indianapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Philadelphia, New York and Washington, DC.

I am so excited!! I enjoyed his concert last summer so much. I paid over $230 for the tickets, but it was so worth it. I have never seen Jill in concert, but I hear she gives just as good of a performance.

President Obama brushing off the Haters at Jay-Z Concert

Jay-Z rocked a sold-out Philips Arena Saturday night, taking the stage along with Trey Songz and Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy and thrilling fans with hits such as “Run This Town” and “Death to Auto-Tune.”

During “Dirt Off Your Shoulder,” the big screens showed a video clip of President Barack Obama brushing dirt off his shoulders to the crowd’s delight.

I would love to have seen a picture of that, but this is good enough! LOL

He is the coolest President ever. Wow! Even President Obama has to brush off the haters! I feel you *brushing them off too*

Jessica Simpson on John Mayer

Tune in Wednesday as Jessica Simpson sits down with Oprah and talk about John Mayer's "napalm" comments and other things. Sounds interesting.....

Oprah brings up the comments Simpson's ex John Mayer made about the singer in Playboy magazine, where he said, "That girl is like crack cocaine to me... Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm..."

"I'm not angry," Simpson tells Oprah about the comments. "Well, I'm a little bit angry. I don't want people to know how I am in bed!"

Meanwhile, Simpson says despite all of the tabloids reporting about her weight, she is "absolutely" happy with how she looks.

"I love my curves," she says. "I'm not be going to be a size zero and I'm never going to be 90 pounds. I don't want to look like Daisy Duke every day."

It is a snowy day in Georgia which means everything shuts down! So, why not put these precious minutes to good use.
I am currently working on several greeting cards. This month is sisterhood month in my sorority and I have a secret soror I am making a card for. I am also putting together wedding congratulations cards for a friend.
I will also post designs of t-shirts I am working on.
