Fashionista or Flop?

Beyonce' was out cruising I meant leaving a restaurant last night in Paris. As you can see she is all studded up. There is something off about this outfit. I don't know if it is the studded gloves or the bright blue shoulder bag.

What do you think? Is she rocking it or flopping it?

Are You A Hater?

Have you ever been out and about and have seen a pretty sister across the room. The chic is looking fly from her hair follicle all the way to her toe nails. She passes you and gives you a friendly smile and what do you do (screech).................. you roll your eyes!

Now why you got to hate because she has her stuff together? You are probably the one with the issue. Your rationale for rolling your eyes is that she looked at you wrong. No sister, you are HATER! Go ahead and admit it.

Why do women hate on other women? Why do we immediately take it out on the attractive chic? She had no say so in her DNA.

If this is you, whether you admit or not, check yourself. It is not cool.

Fabulous Chic of the Day: Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon always portray an innocence about her, like she could really be your loyal best friend. Whenever you see her on tv or in a movie you automatically connect to her because she has such a sweet spirit about her.

She is always smiling, never have been reported rude or egotiscal by any celeb media. I definately identify with her because she is a mother of 2 small kids, a business woman, a southerner and her public outcry that marriage was a journey for her.

She would definately be a person I could see myself having lunch with and talking about our kids and relationships over Moscato!

Loves her. Here's to you Reese!!!

My New Skin Moisturizer

Snow, rain, gusty winds and frigid weather can cause a girl's skin to look like a battered rock.

I have combination skin, but in the winter my skin is thirsty for moisture. Over the years I've tried countless of moisturizers and to be honest, I've never paid attention to if it was doing it's job or not.

I've been using this moisturizer for about 2 weeks and so far, it is pretty good. I apply it before I put on my foundation and it gives me a smooth completion look.

I am still in search of "The" moisturizer, but for now this will do.

Please share your moisturizing regmin.

Fabulous Chic of the Day: Kerry Washington

This chic oozes fabulous, sexy, trendsetter, and classy! She is so hot. Whenever I see her on the cover of a magazine I just have to stop and see what the new 411 is on her.

Haiti Needs Us. Haiti Needs YOU!

5 days ago a 7.0 magnitude earthquake leveled many buildings in Haiti and taking tens of thousands of lives with it. Fortunately, rescurers are still finding victims alive.

I am asking you to open your heart and give any way you can be it volunteering, donating needed items, donating money, etc. Please do not look at this situation as a black issue or a foreign issue. We are all children of God and God see us all as one.  This could have very well happened in the US (ie. Katrina). You can make a difference by donating 2-3 hours of service.

I donated by texting to 501501 ($5 will be charged to your cell phone), the Yele Organization, headed by Wycleaf Jean. But there numerous organizations in the spotlight: American Red Cross, Salvation Army, CARE, Mercy and Sharing, UNICEF USA, World Vision and so many many more.

My church will be collecting items such as: face masks, children clothing, food ready to eat, toiletries, bottled water, wash clothes and towels, etc.

Please take time out of your schedule this week and help. Thank you!

Fabulous Chic of the Day: Blake Lively

This fabulous chic was born Blake Christina Lively on August 25, 1987. Lively was born in Los Angeles to actors Ernie and Elaine Lively. She was raised as a Southern Baptist.[1] The youngest of five siblings,[2] Lively has a brother, Eric, two half-sisters, Lori and Robyn, and a half-brother, Jason. Both of her parents and all of her siblings are, or have been, in the entertainment industry.[3] During Lively's childhood, her parents would take her with them to acting classes that they taught because they didn't want to leave her with a babysitter.[3] Lively stated that watching her parents teach acting classes helped her learn the "drills" of acting and gain confidence as she got older.[2][3] Lively stated that as a child, her mother would bring her to Disneyland twice a week as an opportunity "to have some extra time to bond"; Lively stated that due to all the time she spent there, she felt that she "grew up at Disneyland."[2]

I absolutely adore her style! She always looks stunning to me and that is why she is the Fabulous Chic of the day!

Happy Founders' Day to the Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Alpha Kappa Alpha (ΆΚΆ) is the first Greek-lettered sorority established and incorporated by African American college women. The sorority was founded on January 15, 1908, at Howard University in Washington, D.C., by a group of nine students, led by Ethel Hedgeman Lyle. Forming a sorority broke barriers for African American women in areas where little power or authority existed due to a lack of opportunities for minorities and women in the early twentieth century.[3] Alpha Kappa Alpha was incorporated on January 29, 1913.

Happy Founders Day to the Ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

In 1912 at Howard University, twenty-two undergraduate members of the first African-American sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA), voted to change the organization's name to Delta Sigma Theta. This new name was to reflect the group's desire to change the direction of the group[2] and change in the philosophical underpinnings. The collegiate students sought to move towards social activism and greater public service, rather than social activities.[3] According to Delta Sigma Theta's historian Paula Giddings, the twenty-two young women were concerned that since Alpha Kappa Alpha was not incorporated, there was no "legal entity." Since there was no charter, there was no authority to form other chapters."[2]

The undergraduate members wanted to establish a national organization, enlarge the scope of activities of the sorority, change the sorority's name and symbols, and be more politically oriented.[4] However, conflict arose between one alumnae member who wished to keep the previous name and the remaining collegiate members who voted to change the name to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.[3] When Nellie Quander heard about changing the sorority name, she disagreed and gave the other women a deadline to stop the efforts to reorganize the sorority.[5] The twenty-two declined and unanimously voted to reorganize.[6] Thus Delta Sigma Theta was founded on January 13, 1913, by twenty-two former members

Fabulous or Fugly?

I was thinking about getting an eye popping colored shoe to wear with a black or nude colored outfit. I like this color, but I think I prefer it in leather. What do you think?

The Perfect Pink Glove

Oh where oh where are thou! I have searched low and I have searched high and I can not find you.

I've been looking aimlessly for the perfect pink leather glove to match my hot pink shoes I purchased from DSW. I searched the internet and came pretty darn close, but the place was in the UK and they were sold out. I found a style I like on ebay, but the shade pink was too light. The others had the perfect shade, but they were suede gloves and I don't want that.

Needless to say I am having a "pink" dilemma.

Color Trends for Spring 2010

Spring and summer naturally evoke feelings of

calm ocean waters and tranquil beach vacations

in cool, vibrant, tropical Turquoise. This soothing

hue from the blue-green family conjures feelings

of escape, especially when paired with Amparo

Blue. With more warmth than the typical spring

navy, this particular shade of blue is extremely

appealing because of its brighter, more energetic

attitude. Like the scent of a blossoming flower,

Violet lends a romantic air to the warm-weather

palette. This intriguing purplish hue is a distinctive

addition to any wardrobe.

Yellow has made its mark on fashion and spring

will further this trend with gleaming Aurora.

Reminiscent of the first glimpse of yellow as the

sun begins to rise over the horizon, this shimmering,

slightly greenish yellow adds a bold infusion.

Energy continues to surge throughout the warmer

hues of spring, leading to provocative Fusion

Coral. This inviting orange connects directly to

tangy Tomato Purée, this season’s classic red.

Pair it with Turquoise for a retro look.

Thoughtful, cautious neutrals provide a dependable

backbone to the brights of spring. Kick back and

enjoy the bubbly luxury of Pink Champagne. This

delicate, wispy tint is the season’s newest neutral.

The melding of Pink Champagne, Tomato Purée

and Amparo Blue is a refreshing take on the classic

springtime combination of red, white and blue.

Three additional neutrals round out the palette.

Tuscany, a warm beige hue, provides the perfect

backdrop and works well as a solid base color with

dynamic accents like Fusion Coral or Violet. Dried

Herb is the ultimate green neutral, pairing well with

all other colors. Ideal for bigger ticket items, cool

Eucalyptus is the eternal, practical gray. Choose

this nuanced neutral and add brightly colored

exclamation points in shoes, jewelry and handbags.

Sex in the City 2

Christian Dior, Manolo Blahnik, fabulousity, Sex, glamour, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutins, Chanel, Martinis, Cosmopolitans, New York City... you get the drift!

It is back divas! Sex in the City 2 will be premiering May 28, 2010. Get ready to grab your girlfriends, pump up your fabulous swag and have fun.

I heard the making of SATC2 endured some drama: the shoes the ladies are wearing in the movie aren't the trademark Manolos they are Loubs.  Manolo said he refused to give any shoes to the sequel because his sales and reputation was tarnished by the first. I don't know how true that is, but as I said his shoes aren't in the sequel. I would think the movie would have brought him greater success.

Also I read that Carrie regret doing the sequel because she devoted little time to her new twins and the ordeal with the biological mother put a strain on her during the film.

So much for rumors!

Enjoy chicas!
